Miffy, known as "Nijntje" in Dutch, is a beloved character created by Dutch artist Dick Bruna in 1955. Although Miffy originated in the Netherlands, she has gained immense popularity in Japan, becoming a cultural icon. The simple yet charming design of Miffy, characterized by her minimalist lines and primary colors, resonates with Japanese aesthetics. In Japan, Miffy is featured on a wide range of products, including stationery, toys, clothing, and home goods, and is often associated with themes of innocence, curiosity, and kindness.
