During World War II, USPCC and the British and American intelligence agencies joined forces to create special decks that help allied war prisoners escape from German camps. When moistened, specific cards peeled apart, revealing secret maps of escape routes. The Bicycle® Escape Map edition is a tribute not only to these special map decks, but also to all war prisoners. Though these decks do not peel apart when soaked in water, the front of the playing cards do display a map when placed in order.
